No intelligent economist (which Harper is) believes "unfettered" capitalism is the cause of anything other than the general public. Anyone who's done any economic research understands that while business cycles are a natural part of a free market, and recessions do occur, the cause of *serious* economic problems is always the side-effects of interventionism.
