You representation of the flighty care free grasshopper fails to take into account that they lay eggs and grasshoppers come back anew every year (how clever) Laugh and dance the summer away and live most of your life a child or work hard squirrelling away. There is no choice. We can all be happy and we could say I know lets look after our brothers and sisters of the same species (not let them die daily of starvation)as well as we treat our lucky, pampered western pets.
